Peeps!

What a super group of students at the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design today in needle felting class. Thanks to all of them for taking the workshop and being so creative and adventurous!

Everyone finished up a little chick in no time and then picked another project to try. They left with lambs, ducks, bunnies, nests, eggs and even a fox! Sadly I don't have a picture of the chain smoking chicken but we had one of those too! Happy spring everyone. :)

The Birds are Back

We are getting a taste of what it would be like if there were a spring in Cape Breton. It's a time of year when we can expect to shift from shirt sleeves back to winter coats from one day to the next. Right now we are reveling in the warmth of double digit temperatures. This picture was taken 5 days ago while the ground was well covered in snow and we were getting a bit more. I'm happy to say the birds are back at the feeders and singing their little hearts out about the sunny days.
