An August Beauty

I bought this daylily many years ago at our local farmers market. I can't remember the variety name. "Apricot something or other" has been treating me to it's beautiful blooms year after year and now I have two clumps of it. I love the lemony center and the slightly ruffled edges of the petals, plus the fact that it's a late season bloomer to take up the slack in the flower beds. Can't beat a late bloomer!

That's beautiful! I LOVE day lilies....ours bloom in June, though, so they've been done for a while! My favorite is the Tiger Lily, but I also have some pink and red. Thanks for sharing!

Very pretty, Shari...nice pic! My poor lilies haven't been doing so well the last couple of years, little red beetles keep eating them!

Cheers Juliana and Jo-Ann! I too have those little red bugs on the Asiatic lilies but they don't eat the daylilies!
