Garden Season

Things are starting to look lush in the garden. We have had a stretch of much needed rain so perennials and bedding plants are getting a good start to the garden season. I've been trying to get a few bits and pieces made to go in the garden at the studio. The little yellow narcissus are still going strong long after the tulips are finished. I love these little guys with their multiple blooms on each stalk. Now if we could just get a little sunshine.....perfect!

I love the plants and the planters Shair, very nice! You've inspired me to do the same on my place here in northern Minnesota where the wild willow is plentiful. What did you use? Alder, willow, or something else?

Thanks folks! Plant stands are alder which is plentiful in these parts and the hosta is an old variety that was in my yard when we bought the house. It get quite large so I think it's h. fortunei 'Gold standard' if that's any help. It has that lovely variegation early in the summer and then it fades a bit as the heat hits. Blossoms are mauve and the hummingbirds like it!
