Studio Open for the Season

It seems like the summer season has finally reached us in Cape Breton. Even with the snowflakes hanging around in the windows the studio felt warm and summery today. Yesterday I couldn't even leave the doors open for fear of them blowing off the hinges. What a difference a day makes!

With the housekeeping part finished up I can get back to weaving. Turquoise was the color of choice today.

I was lucky enough to visit Cape Breton in the summer a couple years ago and it was just delightful!
All the beautiful pink and purple flowers in the fields, bright blue skies and ocean air.
I'm envious that you're there to enjoy it now ;)

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Hi Sheri, first time commenting here :) The studio looks great, I keep promising myself that I'm going to get there, maybe this year. Also have to say your felting is wonderful, especially your owl. Good luck this season.
Thanks for your good wishes folks! Yes, it's a fortunate life in Cape Breton. I'm guessing you were her during lupin season Escapade. They are in their purple glory right now.
Only an hour from Sydney Joan! ;)
The woven snowflake, large one in the window, is the most beautiful woven one I've seen.
I've got to make me some of those for Christmas.
Nancy
Thanks Nancy. I think it's made of 5/8 and is probably 22". They look great against a painted wall. Some people have those lovely high cathedral ceilings and arch windows so I think that's how I got started on such a big version.
