Basket Making Weaving - Fortress Louisbourg

 

The folks at one of Cape Breton's National Historic sites, Fortress  of Louisbourg, do a great job of preserving our past and sharing their knowledge. It's a visit you don't want to miss if you are traveling to Cape Breton Island. The Fortress is located in a spectacular coastal setting that juts out into the Atlantic ocean and guarantees visitors to the site a truly old world experience. I've had the pleasure of meeting and weaving with some of the interpreters at the site and they are fabulous weavers. Go visit them!
