A few minutes...
Small things are sometimes the most time consuming. I took a little video and was amazed at how long it actually takes to make a tiny mushroom. This is just a fraction of it. I was listening to an NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Check them out here!
The video seems to have a glitch on this page so here's a link if your interested.
There's more work to do on this little basket but it's already making me happy.
It's has a soft mushroom cap cushion inside and the 'shrooms on the lid will serve as a handle.

What is it about small that attracts us? I cast around for information on gender and scale for an entry in my blog but couldn't fine anything definitive. I thought it might be a female thing but I think that's generalizing. Anyhooo...
Good to see you making and blogging about it again. I think videos and photos detailing a process is an excellent way to educate the public and buyers about the real work behind objects of handmade beauty. Keep it up.
Are those tiny dots I see on the bottom of that basket? I swoon! I hope this basket is for Tiny Gems....I want it.
But I am also wildly attracted to the tiny and the precious. I think it's got something to do with the desire to nurture or take care of them because they are so little...or because we love stories about fairies (traditionally tiny creatures)...and because a fair few of us read The Borrowers or The Littles when we were tots.
I adore that little basket and if there is any bribe that can assure I win that item at little Gems I will pay it......no one need ever know. :)
