A Grey May Day

There have a been a few of them lately, grey, over cast days. It is spring after all and I needed a boost of colour. Again. Even though I do love a rustic backdrop I like to put a pop of colour in my weaving. So I started with the branches and some smoked rattan and gave each of these little wishbone baskets a garden look.

 

 I even found a few delights in my perennial beds to pluck. Not the daisies yet (florist) but the willow, hyacinth and forget-me-nots that have naturalized. The last one is tiny and just needed one pansy to adorn it.
